Splish-splash! That was the sound that waves on Cross Lake made as they rolled ashore on the 4th of July. It was also the sound that our camera made as it hit the water and sank off the dock. Fortunately, Reed's Mommy and Daddy had purchased a service plan for the camera that covered anything and everything possible, including submersion. So although we have been without a camera for a few weeks, here are the final pictures taken on the old camera. We had a very celebratory 4th of July, spending the earlier part of the day at Reed's Great-Uncle Doug and Aunt Nancy's camp on Cross Lake. Reed was particularly excited to play with his cousins and "drive" the boat (tethered to the dock, of course). Then we continued the festivities at Reed's Grandma and Grandpa's house, where Reed also got to spend time with his Great-Grandma and "Duke Cat", as Reed calls their cat.
