Saying Goodbye...

Last week, our beloved four-legged friend Maggie passed away. It was blessedly sudden, just after she enjoyed a game of fetch with her family and was being petted by Brian. Her belly was full of a hamburger from Johnny Angels and her spirit was strong. Sadly her heart gave out from the stress of congestive heart failure; she fell and died immediately. We were so glad she did not suffer and we never had to see our friend in pain. We are all so very grateful for our time with her and the memories we share comfort us. Amazingly, our home, even when filled with Reed's chatter and Willa's coos, seems quiet without a dog and we look forward to the day we hear a pup's bark in our house again.
