Reed and his Mommy, Daddy and Maggie went for a hike earlier this week down at Morgan Hill, which is a hiking locale that Reed's Mommy and Daddy have frequented since high school. We began at the parking area and took the trail all the way into the woods until we arrived at our destination, Tinker Falls, which is a spectacular waterfall nestled back in this unique area. Reed loved watching Maggie romp around and swim in the creek, looking at the mossy rocks with his Daddy, testing different walking sticks, scampering over some of the smaller rocks and obstacles and getting a hand (or two) from his Daddy over some of the more challenging and wet terrain. Reed and his family made it to the back of the falls, and while Reed certainly was content to cling to his Daddy once up high behind the falls (the trail is actually very safe,of course, but seems very high and open as well), he was clearly pleased at the accomplishment and the activity of hiking. As a side note, Reed does not seem to understand the leisurely pace with which many of us hike. Instead Reed's hiking is marked by two speeds: full run and complete stop.
