...A while ago, Reed's Mommy and Daddy both read one of Malcom Gladwell's books "Outliers" (very interesting read for the grown-up, non-board book crowd) and he noted that a commonality among any of the "greats", whether genius or musician or artist or athlete, was that each one had completed over 10,000 hours of practice in their particular field. Well, if Reed starts anything at the ripe old age of a year and a half, he'll be well on his way to those hours by the time he starts school!
Reed started accumulating those hours in lacrosse just a few days ago. Reed and his Daddy got some smaller sized FiddleSTX and the two of them (plus our retriever, of course) have been playing with the sticks and the ball, learning to walk with the stick, hold the ball, check each other's sticks, and play keep away with the ball (with the retriever, of course). Given that lacrosse originated with Onondaga Nation, which is just few short miles away, it is no wonder that Reed seems like such a natural at a young age!
