'Tis the Season...

...for holiday cheer! Last Sunday, Reed and his Mommy and Daddy spent the day enjoying holiday festivities. The morning began with "Breakfast with Santa" at the South Onondaga Fire Barn. It turns out that Reed is a much bigger fan of pancakes than of Santa Claus. Reed happily ate his fill of the delicious pancakes, loved checking out the fire station and all the equipment, and was pleased to see many of his neighborhood friends at the event. However, when it came time to see Santa, Reed was not too thrilled to get too close to this stranger in red and white. Oh well, maybe in the years to come, as Reed learns about all the magic that Santa may bring, he may decide that Santa is a fellow worth knowing.

After our morning adventures, we piled into the truck to head north to cut our Christmas Tree at Goodman Farms. Fortunately, the weather held off and we were able to stay relatively warm and dry as we selected the perfect tree! We brought the tree home and then later in the afternoon, enjoyed some true holiday cheer (well, eggnog for Reed's Mommy and Daddy and milk for Reed), as we trimmed the tree. Reed was a very helpful decorator and took great pleasure in unpacking all the ornaments and lights for the tree and unwinding the beaded garland for the rail of the loft. We're getting into the spirit!
