Reed's Christmas festivities began with an evening with his cousins and family at the traditional Christmas Eve Persse family gathering. He loved every minute of it, including making climb upon climb of the stairs at Aunt Wanda and Uncle Bob's house (new stairs to climb=joy!) and giving a big hug to his "big" two-year old cousin Livy. The evening's excitement actually prevented Reed from falling asleep easily, which is rare in his busy life. We guess those visions of sugar plums kept dancing in his head.
The next morning Reed was very excited to discover that "ho ho ho" (Santa) left a full stocking and a present for him under his "tee" (tree)! After opening his stocking to find an assortment of bath toys, freeze-dried fruit (Reed's favorite!), and books, Reed then opened his gifts from his family and was proud to wear a matching scarf and Broncos tees with his "Dada". Finally, the big moment arrived and Reed got to tear open the wrapping on the gift from Santa...it was his very own "gee-gee" (guitar). Santa brought Reed a ukulele, looking just like a miniature version of Daddy's guitars. Reed was thrilled and has shown a lot of gentleness and patience and pride while showing off his acoustic talents!
And this was just the BEGINNING of the day!
