His weekend began with CSA pick-up on Saturday, which he always enjoys because he gets the opportunity to see his grandparents, practice waving and saying "hi" and "bye" to all the members, and visit with some of his friends (we are fortunate to have some members with young children around Reed's age).
On Saturday night, Reed went out to dinner with his parents, "Aunt" Jen and "Uncle" Matt, and his Mommy and Daddy's very good friends Trish and Nate. Reed had not yet met Trish and Nate because they moved out of CNY over a year ago, but he was so happy to play with them and is very eager to meet their little girl someday, who is due to arrive at the end of October! Reed was so patient at dinner and sat in the "big boy" high chair for over an hour and a half, sampling pasta and vegetables from everyone's dinner, smiling at the other diners, and gleefully shredding tissue paper that Trish generously shared from her baby gifts.
On Sunday, Reed and his Mommy went to their BabyBe Yoga play group, which is made up of mothers who took prenatal yoga together a long time ago and the babies who then took Mommy & Baby yoga alongside with their mommies this spring. Although the babies are now too old for the yoga classes (chasing almost-toddlers around is not too conducive to holding yoga postures), the mommies have continued to meet with the babies for play-dates. On Sunday's play-date, all the boys were way more interested in looking out the window and practicing their cruising skills, than playing with all of the toys!
