Yesterday morning, Reed and his Mommy and Daddy took advantage of the sunshine to go to a "Maple Weekend" event at the Cedarvale Maple Syrup Company, which is very near their home. The cool nights and warm, sunny days have got the sap flowing well from the maple trees, and there were many maple treats to sample (Reed will have to wait until next year for these, of course). We also took a walk through the Maple grove and got to see the tubing and taps in the trees as well as the "sugar shack", where the sap is boiled down into syrup. Reed loved the fresh air and looking up at the trees, although he was very sleepy for much of the visit. Nap time was approaching!
