Reed is now feeling much better and his cold has almost disappeared. This week, his Mommy is on vacation from school, so while Daddy works on the greenhouse in anticipation of the upcoming growing season, Mommy has gotten to spend lots of time playing, snuggling, and feeding! Reed's now eating 2 bowls of infant oatmeal and rice cereal each day, in addition to drinking lots of milk. He eagerly eyes each bite that his Mommy and Daddy put into their mouths and it won't be long before Reed is able to share many other meals with them. We're planning to try applesauce and pureed carrots over the next week. Yummy! All this good nutrition is so important as Reed quickly learns new skills and practices them often. He is now quite proficient at blowing raspberries and yelling for attention when a toy falls out of reach, passing things from one hand to the other, pushing up during tummy time and "standing" with help from one of us. Reed's also learning to sit independently and has really enjoyed practicing this while being entertained by his new blue truck!
