This past weekend and early in the week, we had a few stretches of a lot of rain with thunder and lightening (Reed amazingly slept through all of the nighttime storms). Although rain does make it difficult for Reed's Daddy to work in the farm fields, it does allow them the opportunity to take a family afternoon away from the farm to let the fields dry out. On Monday afternoon , Reed, his Mommy, and his Daddy went out to Skaneateles. As soon as they arrived and walked down to the water, the sky got very dark and they heard the rumbling of thunder. So no swimming for Reed, but they did have a wonderful time watching the ducks, eating ice cream at Doug's Fish Fry, walking out on the pier, and playing in The Kinder Garden, which we were fortunate enough to be inside as yet another downpour began. Waiting out this soaking rain inside a toy store was the icing on the cake of this fun afternoon for Reed.
